Meet Dana

About Dana

Dana Marie Ecklund was raised in a small town in southeastern Iowa where the Iowa River meets the Mississippi River. This is where she and her husband, David, met and then later married in 1983. They began their journey in Southern California, later moved to raise their family in the mid-west and are now back in Southern California. Dana is a mother of three daughters, one son, and a grandmother of eight, so far.

According to David, she’s a lady who has gone through numerous trials and tribulations and has remained faithful not just in months or weeks, but in years. She has a faith that has been displayed and defined throughout their over 42 years of marriage, raising four children, and other life experiences.

Her life experiences include religious legalism, childhood sexual perversion and peer-pressure, her own marriage struggles, a daughter who was molested as a child who later struggled with substance abuse and illegal activities which led to several prison and rehab sentences, another daughter born with life-threatening major health diagnosis, and more.

Dana has proven that she can recognize merry-go-rounds and is not afraid to get off and go forward. No matter what the circumstances or situations she faced, she never quit believing God’s promises for her and her family written in His Word. She has held to the Word of God. It has been her Rock. It is evident that her foundation, who is The Lord Jesus Christ, is strong! This is who she is, and her victories are fully displayed in her life.

My "Why"

I created Pop the Cork & Go™ / On With Your Life because I’ve watched too many people who genuinely love God still feel stuck—spinning in the same thoughts, patterns, and emotional cycles. Not because they don’t care. Not because they aren’t trying. But because many were never discipled correctly after they were born again.

They were never introduced to the NEW YOU—and that changes everything. They never heard that they are now one with God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit and all of God now lives INSIDE of them. When someone doesn’t learn who they became in Christ, they keep living from the old identity, apart from God. They keep measuring themselves by feelings, past failures, old labels, and other people’s opinions. They think their problem is “lack of discipline,” when the real issue is that their mind never got trained to agree with what God already did inside them and what help (grace) they now have access to. And when a person is taught to perform instead of receive, they often end up trapped in cycles: trying harder, overthinking, confessing under pressure, and second-guessing whether they’re “doing it right.”

But peace doesn’t come from getting everything perfect. Peace comes from living from the inside out-truth first, identity first, relationship first.

When Christians don’t see real victory in their walk with God, they might begin to look to something else besides the victory Jesus gave them, like New Age practices or other teachings that lead them to “self-help.”

My why is simple: to help you pop the cork—break the old thinking that keeps a lid on your life—learn how to live from the new creation reality—with a renewed mind, clear next steps, and steady forward movement. No hype. No guilt. Just the kind of transformation that looks like wholeness—spirit, soul, and body—so you can prosper as your soul prospers and finally move forward, finding and living out your awesome God-given purpose.

I’m here to help you step off life’s merry-go-rounds, live a Spirit-led life from a renewed mind, and turn “I’m stuck” into “I’m moving forward.”

“I’m here to help you step off life’s merry-go-rounds, live a Spirit-led life from a renewed mind, and turn ‘I’m stuck’ into ‘I’m moving forward.’”
